The Crew

Director/Producer/Playwright

Kelly F. Burr

Kelly F. Burr (She/her) is an award-winning playwright, producer, director and actor. She is the producing artistic director of Scene 24 Productions, a non-profit company that prioritizes training, coaching, showcasing and empowering women/folx in production.

She’s worked on stage and screen since the age of six and utilizes her lifetime of experience in her work. She holds a master’s degree in Shakespeare and Theatre from The Shakespeare Institute (with a concentration on protofeminism in Shakespeare) and was awarded the Vermont Playwrights Award in 2022.

She tackles hard subjects with comedy because “If they’re laughing, they’re listening.” She’s a proud member of the Dramatists Guild. She wouldn’t be here (or funny) without the traumatically avid support of her family and her little black cat familiar, Ms. Leela F. Burr. Speaking of:

Assistant Director/Swing

Eleanor O’Meara

Eleanor is an actor, writer, & director from Montana who studied at Webster Conservatory and LAMDA. Some favorite credits include Troilus (T&C), Romeo (R&J), and Marianne in Constellations. She’s passionate about making theatre that is accessible and female-led, and is grateful for the adventurous theatre community she’s found in NYC & beyond!

Production Manager

Rachel Franke

Rachel is thrilled to be a part of If We Really Were Witches! Traditionally a musical theatre performer, she is excited to be able to dip her toes into production management and technical operations with this show. She was recently the creative manager for Seattle’s immersive
Haunted Soirée, and has performed regionally at theatres in Montana, Los Angeles, and New Mexico. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, painting, time with loved ones, and eating pancakes. She wants to thank Kelly and Eleanor for involving her in this production, and the
cast of Witches for their eternal spunk.

ORange Flyer Hat Designer

Glen Chitty

Our gorgeous orange “Witches” hat flyer was designed by Glen and we hope you’ll contact him for all of your design or actor needs!

Glen Chitty(He/Him) is an actor and graphic designer based in New York City. After a long fight with his right hand about its ability to draw, he turned to the Adobe Creative Cloud to finally have input on his creative output. He has teamed up with artists across NYC to provide their shows with polished graphics that effectively capture the core of their show. An eagerness to pause the scroll, invite viewers to look closer, and get curious about their next theatrical experience. You can contact him at [email protected] or @glen.chitty!

Woodblock Design Artist

Alie Mahoney

Alie is a Hadley, MA based artist who HAND-CARVED our black and white “Witches” woodblock logo! That’s right, it’s a real deal original woodblock in the same style as some of the witches prints in Daemonologie.

Please visit her social media and give her a like/follow, or find her at Western Mass/Southern Vermont artist markets!

Mascat/Script Supervisor

Leela F. Burr

Leela is a Vermont-born rescue cat who decided to show up and live with Kelly on Halloween. Make of that what you will.

Her hobbies include laying on things, judgmental glaring, and hair ties. She loves tuna and hates when her human is out past her bedtime. She’s known for her comedic timing and focus-pulling antics.

Her name comes from the Hinduistic concept of “Lila” meaning “the divine play”; that creation is the outcome of the playful nature of the divine. In Arabic, the name “Leela” means “night” or “black beauty.” Also, the Doctor Who companion, and clearly her human is an overthinking writer.

She hopes you’ll adopt, not shop.
